No, there is only one…

Mister Sister

We are very happy to announce that we have a little “Mister Sister” on the way.

I am 11 weeks and 3 days along, so that will put the due date at Jan 16! The title of this blog refers to a little “scare” we had. The midwife wasn’t sure how many babies where in there, since she couldn’t measure the baby right. And since Granny and Will both had had dreams about twins, she wanted to make sure. So we spent our weekend at Lake Powell agonizing over this. :-) We had a ultra sound this morning, and that showed only one baby. Will is very excited and constantly wants to come kiss and feel the baby. Today at the Doctor’s office he also read a pamphlet about breast feeding and pumping, so he is prepared.

Love to all!

Trevor, Mayke & Will

PS. I have lots of other things to blog about soon as well. A lot has happened since Februari.

SNOW-shoeing

We took Will snowshoeing over President’s Day weekend. The snow near Strawberry Reservoir was wonderful. Soft and deep! Will had gotten new snowshoes and hiking poles for Christmas and it was time for them to be tried out. I think he loved the first 10 min the most. After that he had to work pretty hard. But he did really well.

Running up that hill.

Almost there!

After reaching the top of the hill we made some apple cider and had some snacks. WARM APPLE CIDER!

The way down was fast and fun. That's it! I am done!

The first sleepover at our house

Isabelle, Adelein and Will playing Guitar Hero. A couple of weekends ago we had Adelein & Isabelle over for their first sleepover at our house. Will was very excited to finally have someone come over and stay the night. They watched lots of movies, played games, baked cookies and played the Wii. It is great to see the three of them play together. They played Guitar Hero for a while. Adie mentioned that they have Rock Band and that we needed a drum. Luckily Dianna brought Will a drum for Mali, so Isabelle was able to use that one in stead.Baking cookies!! Trevor and I were very surprised we were allowed to sleep in until 8. Will made breakfast for the girls and took good care of them. Sunday morning!

Hello world!

Since it seems to be hard to stay in touch with family and friends, we thought it was a good idea to start a Wood Family blog. Will’s blog will stay the place to read about crazy and funny things about him, Malena’s blog will be updated with some pictures of her, and hopefully sometime soon Trevor will go online with his Photography blog.

Here we go!
