It really is time to Tessa-proof…

Yep, that’s chips, granola bars, baby cookies and pepernoten.

She knows where the good stuff is.

Will’s Latest And Greatest

While helping Will with his math homework (sizes and such in the US-system):

Me: “I’m sorry, but I never learned the US-system, so why don’t you ask dad to help you.”

Will: “You Europeans are such jerks!”

Me: “Why?”

Will: “Because you don’t even know how to do this!!!!”

Me: “I learned a different system in school.”

Will: “Yeah, that’s why you’re jerks.”

Trevor and I had a little argument Friday night, which ended up with us ignoring each other the rest of the night and into Saturday morning. (I know, very grown up-like.) After talking things through, explaining to Will, who had witnessed some of the argument, what happened:

“You guys had to recharge your love, or what?!”

Tessa got lots of great toys for Christmas and her birthday. Will has been enjoying them almost as much as Tessa. When I asked him why he played with Tessa’s toys:

“Tessa is controlling my mind!”

And yes, I am still working on those posts about Christmas and New Year’s Eve. My computer is very slow with uploading pictures. But they will come. I promise.

Tessa’s Birthday Fun

Tessa had a great birthday last Sunday.

We were lucky to have my parents come visit for a week, so they could celebrate with us. We went to Sundance for brunch. Tessa made sure to stuff herself, eating 2 full plates of pancakes, sausages, fruit and eggs.

It was so pretty (and cold) there. We made our semi-annual glass drop-off at the glass shop (and did our semi-annual purchase there as well). We then drove to Aspen Grove to check out the snow level. Will and Trevor had fun playing in the snow for a little while.

In the morning Tessa had already unwrapped some gifts sent from the Netherlands.

Later that afternoon we had family come over for dinner and cupcakes. Keelie made the best ladybug cupcakes. Tessa got lots of great gifts.

Tessa had her Dr’s appointment today. He said she was doing really well, growing as she should and very happy.

The Big One

Tessa turns 1 today!

It has been a wonderful year! I cannot believe how fast it has gone by.

Tessa is the best little girl.

One of her favorite things to do is snuggling with her stuffed animals.

She is talking up a storm, saying daddy, mama, dada, happy, will, ja, and so on.

She is the fastest crawler, and is so close to walking by herself.

She loves to “play” Wii with Will, and “watch” tv by pushing the buttons on the remote.

She is such a content girl, smiles a lot, and gives big wet kisses.

Happy Birthday Tessa!
