Bountiful Baskets

Thanks to our neighbor Kolene we’re hooked to this great way of getting our veggies and fruits.

Bountiful Baskets is a co-op run by volunteers that tries to bring local fruit and veggies at a reasonably low price. (More information on bountifulbaskets.org)

I love that you won’t know for sure what will be in your basket each week, but it is in season. The basket in the picture had bananas, peaches, plums, 3 mangoes, strawberries, a cantaloupe, lettuce, green beans, a cucumber, sweet potatoes, celery and cherry tomatoes. Total cost: $19.50 (incl. a $1.50 fee and $3 First time fee)

We had added the bread, 5 loaves of 9 grain whole wheat bread, for $10.)

They are all over Utah (and 15 other states).

But best of all: everything from the basket was so tasty!!!!

I just thought I had to share.

Sounds like a great idea. I’m glad your kids like healthy food. I just noticed your mom is coming in September. That will be fun.
